History
It all began in 1856, when Minnesota was still a territory, that 6 Lutheran families from Wisconsin settled on a forested area, which later became Elysian township. Concern for their spiritual welfare prompted them to establish a church. As the congregation grew, new buildings and sites were chosen. The current church was built in 1890 and is still used today to hold weekly services. In 2017 a new fellowship hall was added to the church.
